'Art is good for you' Collection 'Faqqua Iris'

from $25.00

This art print features a Faqqua Iris. This piece is the first of a new collection called ‘Art is good for you’ where all profits from the sales of these art prints go to charities doing amazing work in causes that are important to me.

National flower of Palestine

In 2016 the Palestinian Council of Ministers declared the Faqqua Iris the national flower of the State of Palestine. Faqqua Irises thrive in the climate of the Faqqua Mountains, especially surrounding the village of Faqqua after which this beautiful flower is named. In a specific area of 20-25 square kilometres the Faqqua Iris grows in dense fields. Palestine is the only country that has such a dense field of Irises.

Para (Palestine Australia Relief and Action) helps Palestinian migrants and refugees settle in Australia and achieve their full potential - free from the barriers created by conflict and displacement. Founded by Australian Palestinians they offer direct support to those who need it most. All profits from the sales of these prints go to Para.
